CITY OF MOST…favourable for your investments, convenient for life
Due to its favourable location at the intersection of trade routes, the City of Most has always been an important cultural and business centre of the Ústí region. The city continues to profit from its favourable geographic position near Prague and close to the German border. The City of Most has great experience with direct foreign investors and support for incoming investors is embedded in the City of Most Development Programme.

city of most – green city…

The City of Most is well known for the mining industry. Thanks to reclamation projects, former mines have be transformed into modern sports and recreation areas and the City of Most has numerous parks, an arboretum, Plane and Sakura trees groves, vineyards, decorative shrubs, lawns and newly reclaimed and reforested areas. Only tall, ecologically desulphurised smokestacks indicate the city’s industrial heritage.
The reclaimed landscape of Most offers recreation areas for local residents and unique, interesting destinations for tourists.

city of most – supports education…

Regional schools and universities communicate intensively with local business entities and develop study programmes that equip the students with skills tailored  to the needs of investors. This cooperation has a positive impact on the region’s economic growth, unemployment rate and the availability of skilled labour for potential investors.

Thanks to support from the EU support, the national government and the regional authorities, the Regional Education Centre of Mechanical Engineering for NC Technologies was established in Most. This modern engineering centre trains students in mechanical-engineering fields using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.

Twelve special high schools with a technical and industrial focus and five universities produce qualified graduates for potential investors.

city of most – adrenalin city…

AUTODROM

Autodrom Most is a race track in the city of Most that was created through the reclamation of a former mining slag heap. It is one of the four local “dromes”, the others being the AQUAdrom, Aerodrom and Hipodrom. The Autodrom serves not only for car, truck and motorcycle races, but also as a testing ground for newly developed vehicles. Part of the Autodrom is the Polygon complex, where safe-driving courses and training focused on improving the skills of motorcyclists and drivers of many other types of personal and commercial vehicles are provided.

AQUADROM

AQUAdrom is a water part that opened its doors on the site of a formal thermal pool. Toboggans, a wild river, a children’s pool with water spouts and children’s pool for swimming lessons, massage jets, a climbing net above the water and other features attract visitors from the broader surrounding area.

HIPODROM

Hipodrom Most is a horseracing facility that organises regular race days (six main races per season). In addition to this, it also hosts steeplechase races and numerous cultural events. Hipodrom Most ranks among the top facilities of its kind in the Czech Republic. An inline skating track which fulfils the inline skating association’s requirements for organising races was constructed around the race track in 2008. More than 100,000 people visit Hipodrom Most annually.
